| Team EP met one of the artist of the first animation movie based on a local hero who had fought the British. Mr. Sandrew Syiem whose voice was used for Tirot Sing’s uncle spoke at length about the industry, the experience, the hurdles and finally the joy of making and being part of an animation movie. 2012 took 3 year and the director name is Bancasper Mawlong his partner with Janai Talang he is a 3D journalist and music is done by Melodia arrangement. Total cast and member around 40 and the released of movie on 5th of march and the movie is based on freedom fighter of the Meghalaya U Tirot Sing Syiem. The movie is a fiction based on true facts.
EP: How did it start? How did this idea getting into animation.
Its started by Bancasper Mawlong. The movie started from Calcutta. He previously was working for animation studios in Calcutta. So he got the idea of using the freedom fighter of Meghalaya U Tirot Sing to start a project with. After that he shifted back to Shillong and the production of the movie started. The total cost of project starting is 30 lacs all being borne by the director sponsored by friends and family only and other sponsors. Lots of people are asking about this movie but nobody is willing to come forward for sponsering or producing since there are no producers for this movie. Everything has been done by the director. Money saved it goes into the production only.
