“Impossible” itself say I’M Possible

Dr Ravindra Nandekar is a multifaceted character who has faced the challenges set by life head on. Born with congenital High Myopia in both eyes and having undergone total hip replacement(THR) his mission is ‘Diabetes Free India’. Facing numerous challenges right from the start of his career as a child Dr Ravinder Nandekar secured 1st rank in entire Maharashtra while pursuing his Diploma in Pharmacy.

Today he has a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical sciences. After his education, he joined as a Lecturer in Pharmacy College followed by Principals post at NTVS Institute of Pharmacy, Nandurbar, Maharastra. He is a recipient of many awards both for his technical and social contributions. Many patents have been awarded to Dr Ravinder for the research work done by him. He is the recipient of National Award for the empowerment of persons with disabilities, 2008, as Role Model. Award was given in person on 3rd December 2008 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, by the Vice-President of India, Dr. M H Ansari. He is also responsible for taking the knowledge of computers to many specially-able people. Dr ravi Nandekar is also leading many social organizations in Jalgoan and says he cannot rest until his mission is achieved. Executive Editor Harsh met Dr Ravinder Nandekar and found out more about the man with an aim to make Diabetes Free India. Below are the excerpts of the interview taken by Executive Editor Harsh Jhunjhunwala.
