The land of dawnlit mountains, Arunachal Pradesh with its serenity and mosaic of cultures and people receives the first rays of the sun in the country and its often called the ‘Land of Rising Sun’. It’s a multi tribal state with different ethos and etiquette defining their simplicity and hospitable nature. The cultures too are varied, be it their daily lives or their food habits. The state is truly endowed with nature’s bounty from breath taking landscapes to places of historical importance. The state is crisscrossed by rivers and rivulets. Be it sun or rain,it has lots to offer in its sublimeness. There are just not enough words or space to describe Arunachal which beckons in more ways than one.

 

Yes!!! Oil has come from the Northeast of India

Digboi is the oil city of Assam where the first oil well of Assam was drilled. The refinery started in 1901. Interestingly, the name Digboi came from the phrase “Dig-boy-dig” which is what the English told the labourers of the time.
