Phillip LaDon Phillips, Jr. (born September 20, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter from Leesburg, Georgia. He won the 11th season of American Idol on May 23, 2012. He started playing music when he was 14. The same day that he claimed his victory in American Idol’s season 11 finale, the 21-year-old singer/guitarist released “Home,” and marked the highest debut on the Billboard songs chart.
