The Health Insurance industry undergoing a drastic shift both from consumer behavior and industry to cope with it regulators are bound to bring changes for the welfare of the consumers.

IRDA or Insurance Regulator Development Authority is the apex body that controls the insurance industry as RBI controls the Banks. Health insurance history in India began with an Employee's state insurance scheme (ESIS) in 1948. It was introduced as an umbrella of social security for blue-collar workers of the organized sector. It provides health care services through a network of dispensaries and hospitals that impaneled with ESIS.

North East is a cauldron of various cultures, faiths, traditions and customs. It constitutes an amazing rainbow of faiths and rituals. What is called indigenous faith is in fact the original faith of our people during the less scientific civilizations. Their pristine closeness to nature, their unflinching beliefs in the different spirits that govern their life is a priceless treasure of our country. We may call their faith either Animism or Pantheism which is indeed a vital offshoot of Sanatana Dharma. The North East now comprises eight states, each having its distinct history, a well defined geography, a vibrant culture and much valued traditions. An attempt shall be made here to look a bit more closely at some of the faiths, its associated rituals as practiced by our people for centuries inhabiting the remote, far flung areas of our country. Most of them still live in close proximity with nature untouched by the mad waves of materialism. Pantheism or Animism remains their invisible guiding spirit, silently inspiring and shaping their life from birth to death.

GENDER, as a term generally indicates either of the two sexes (male and female), but while referring the term according to social and cultural arena it denotes a fabricated construct rather than a biological one .With such convention, gender creates a tendency of biasness which occurs when one individual or group unconsciously attributes certain attitudes and stereotypes to another person or group of people. This genesis of gender is delineated by Buchi Emecheta in her aspiring novel “THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD”(1979) where she points out the difference concerning with three generations in which she deliberately mentioned the colonialist influence, along with the supremacy of the social representation or construction. There are basically competing theories about the cause of gender inequality in Africa, but scholars suggest its genesis is in slavery and colonialism.

INDMAX Project- A plant engineered with complete State of Art technology, commissioned at Bongaigaon Refinery, was dedicated to the Nation by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Feb 22.

On a red-letter day in the industrial landscape of Assam, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicated the INDMAX Plant of IndianOil’s Bongaigaon Refinery to the Nation through virtual mode from Dhemaji along with other key infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sector. 

A special function was organised near the INDMAX Unit of Bongaigaon Refinery in synchronization with the Prime Minister’s event at Dhemaji.
