Progressively the start-up setting has been increasing in the North East region due to government initiatives, organizations and independent enthusiast, creating entrepreneurs to ideate, innovate, and challenge the shortcomings in the region.

North East region is inadequate due to assorted reasons. Logistic is one factor wherein, the cost is higher as compared to bigger cities therefore, failing to impress the investors and other corporate bodies across. 

A debate on the geography, infrastructure, and roads links is an endless matter. However, we lack recognition of the leading entrepreneurs especially women from North East Region who made a far-fetched mark in the metropolitan cities. Their entrepreneurial skills not only brought glory, money, and status but it does fortify the state in general.

The big one- the earth shaking, along the 600 kilometer stretch of Central Himalaya, is on its way, alerting seismologist and scientists who attended the International Conference at Indian Institute of Technology at Mandi. The strain is already building up since the Indian tectonic rammed against the Asian plate, resulting in the gaining of height of the Himalayan Mountains. The biggest quake of 8.7 magnitudes in Assam in the year 1950 is recorded as being one of the biggest in the Himalayan region till date.

In the midst of formal employment crisis across India over last few years during Narendra Modi’s role, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) during the process of 17th Loksabha election comes out with a study report on unemployment in the country that brought a smile in BJP government in Tripura. The report showed a steady decline of unemployment in Tripura and in last one year it has reduced to 22.7 percent up to February this year corresponding to last year’s figure 30 percent.

The elections are over. The brazen cockfight between the warring political parties is over. By the time this article will be published, the third phase of Lok Sabha polls will be over in Assam and the raging debate on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 that dominated the campaign trail in this election will go into oblivion.

Congress’ Nyunatam Aay Yojana (NYAY) seems to be the flavour of the season—at least for the beleaguered party Chief Rahul Gandhi. The irony of Indian politics is that all the parties rely on doles since they believe that doles are the only route to the corridors of power in Delhi.
